Our members gathered for a late fall flour bombing competition. For the uninitiated, this is an event where we approach the Ann Arbor grass runway from 500 feet, and attempt to hit a target on the ground with sacks of flour.
In this event, we practice skills like crosswind management, speed and altitude holding, and cockpit resource management. And a few "softer" skills like spotting a target on the ground from 500 feet.
Have a look at some photos from the event!
